Bay View From the Window

A vase which holds within it the fruit of a bountiful spring invites me to peer through into a landscape giving forth a sense of freedom and lightness. Gentle, warm mist blanketing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge seems to communicate the city’s eschatological brightness, redirecting its fame from a colorful and emotionally-charged political history to that of its bright future in light of the Resurrection. Sailboats dotting a cerulean ocean summon me to remember the sort of peaceful stability found within the soul that holds a deep trust in its benevolent Creator.—Gabriella Mathews
